Club Sega is one of the major landmarks of Akihabara, whose electric town is famed for its otaku gaming culture. And it’s not just your classic arcade games, Akihabara and Japan in general is known for its upright pinball style Pachinko machines as well as its Claw Crane machines.

Akihabara’s Electric Town, or Electric City, for years has been the place to score cool gadgets with its tall building electric glow that brilliantly illuminates the cityscape at night.

We ended our visit to Akihabara with lunch at McDonald’s. McDonald’s in Japan is better than McDonald’s in America, except for the ketchup. American ketchup is basically corn syrup, while Japanese ketchup is actually tomato paste.
