Shopping In Tokyo

While Shopping in Tokyo, I found the fashion to be much more appealing, granted that I currently do not live in New York or Los Angeles.

I was very much into the style, quality and vibe of downtown Tokyo. If you like to shop, I’d come to Japan with an extra suitcase that is empty. My favorite was looking for man bags and fedoras.

At first I wanted to do my shopping in Tokyo, but it became overwhelming as in the Shinjuku area you would see stores for a single brand with 8 or 9 floors, thus removing the diversity in shopping day.

Almost every station in the Tokyo metro area also has a mall attached to it, and a pretty substantial one at that. Shinjuku station basically had two malls attached to it on both sides.

Many of the things you can find in the malls or smaller shops in downtown Tokyo can also be found further out in the other area station malls and department stores for less. Also, not all department stores are like the department stores in the US.

Sometimes, what looks like a department store, is actually hundreds of different stores in each tiny square of what appears to be a singular department store.
